You heard it right. Computers are going to evolve into something else. Wearable computers, roads made up of computers, 3d Fax, holographic television etc are going to come at you in an other 5 years from now.
The first Step towards that is the latest innovation from AMD (advanced micro devices). 2011 is going to be such a fun filled year. CPU (central processing unit) and GPU (graphics processing unit) are going to be made into a single integrated chip called the APU (accelerated processing unit). The technology is called as FUSION by its makers.
So what is so special about an APU. Imagine Playing GTA IV seamlessly without the need of a graphics card at the highest resolution. Imagine rendering videos seamlessly at the fraction of the time you used to spend.
However I hope that Fusion delivers what ever it is promising to deliver.
If it does then"Fusion is most certainly the future."
